Risk Management

The Human Resources Department is responsible for Risk Management which includes maintaining insurance for the City and workers’ compensation coordination.

Risk Management processes personal injury, property, or vehicle damage claims filed against the City of Monroe. The terms or acceptance of claim forms by the City is not an admission of any fault or liability on the part of the City or any office, agent, or employee thereof.

Claims for Damages to Person or Property

If you believe you or your property has been damaged and you feel the City of Monroe has a responsibility to you, you will need to initiate a claim against the City by completing our Claim for Damage Form. Please attach any information to support your claim such as photographs, estimates, diagrams, etc. We will forward your claim to our third-party administrator, who will contact you (claimant). 

The Claim for Damages Form is also available by requesting it from the Human Resources Department via email, phone, or at City Hall.
