A Message from the Chief of Police
Please note: Effective June 24, 2019, the Monroe Police Department will be fingerprinting those individuals that live inside the city limits of Monroe only as well as Monroe School District employees.
Fingerprinting hours will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
In 2017 the department began implementing our Five Year Strategic Plan to better serve the citizens of Monroe. This plan incorporates four strategic goals which provide direction for our department into the future. These goals are Combating Crime to Enhance Community Safety and Quality of Life, Promoting Community Involvement, Providing Openness and Transparency, and Supporting Professional Development.
It is our pleasure to present to you the 2018 Year End Report which showcases our department and highlights significant events that have occurred during the past year. We are most fortunate to have such quality, educated and dedicated personnel that take a high degree of pride in providing the best service possible to our citizens.
We encourage you to use this website to clearly understand what police services are available such as requesting police reports, online reporting, obtaining pet licenses and fingerprinting services. This website is intended to help you learn about our department and its services, to provide information that can keep you safer at home and about town, and to provide opportunities for community feedback on how we can serve you better.
