Tjerne Place Phase III Street Improvements

Project Description

Tjerne Place Phase III (a.k.a. Oaks Street) is located between Woods Creek Road and Old Owen Road, behind Coastal Farm & Ranch. This private road sees increasing traffic as drivers look to other routes to avoid traffic on US2. The City is interested in converting the road to public right-of-way, as well as long-term making improvements to become similar to other segments of Tjerne Place SE, including a signalized intersection where Oaks Street connects to Old Owen Road.


Project Activity

The City began the design phase of this project in May 2025. TSI was selected as the designer and they have sub-consultants performing geotechnical exploration, environmental design, drainage design and survey. The project is currently approximately 50% complete. The design phase is anticipated to be complete in the second quarter for 2026. After the design is completed, this project will enter a Right of Way procurement phase.
