City of Monroe Water Utility COVID-19 Response

The City of Monroe highly values the safety and health of our residents, businesses, customers, and staff.  As a provider of essential utility services, the City is working to assist our customers as coronavirus impacts the region.

The City of Monroe is taking the following steps to help our residential and business customers who might be worried about paying their bills:

  • The City will not shut off water services in March, April, May, June, July, August, September, or October 2020.
  • The City is encouraging everyone to either pay their bills on-line at www.monroewa.gov/pay or use the drop box located just outside the City Hall’s front door. Payment can also be made via credit card over the phone at 360-794-7400. 
  • The City will work with customers who may fall behind on their utility bills to set up a payment plan.  (Payment plans during March, April, May, June, July, August, September, and October will not count toward the aggregate allowed per account).  For further information, please email utilitybilling@monroewa.gov or call 360-794-7400.

  • Attention: If you are a renter having difficulty paying your utility bill AND you pay your bill directly to the City of Monroe, then you may be eligible for assistance with past due balances. Please call Workforce Snohomish at (425) 300-6006, or email them at Utilities@workforcesnohomish.org.   • La ciudad trabajara para establecer un plan de pago con los clientes que podrían retrasarse en sus facturas de servicios públicos.
