Car Seat Safety Checks

CarSeatInspection2023According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car seats and booster seats provide protection for infants and children in a crash, yet car crashes are a leading cause of death for children ages 1 to 13.

Our certified child passenger safety technicians are available by appointment only to conduct a child car restraint systems safety inspection. We are not able to accommodate walk-in requests.

To request a car seat safety inspection, please Submit an online request by completing this form or call 360-794-6300.

Once your appointment is confirmed, please allow 30 minutes for the inspection (per car seat). You may bring your child with you. During the inspection, the technician will:

  • Check your seat and vehicle for recalls 
  • Correctly install the seat into your vehicle, and show you how to do the same 
  • Correctly adjust the seat for your child to enhance safety
  • Provide information on best practices and current Child Safety Seat laws 
  • Answer any questions you may have.
