The Ward Roney Jr. VFW Post 7511 and its Auxiliary are excited to announce the eighth annual Flags for our Fallen 5K run/walk on Saturday, May 17 at Lake Tye Park.
This Memorial Day-themed event aims to build community, support veterans, and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. The event starts at 8:30 a.m. with a short ceremony, followed by a 5K walk/run around Lake Tye, which begins promptly at 9 a.m.
All funds raised help support the Ward Roney Jr. VFW Post 7511’s crucial work to help local veterans in need and positively impact the Monroe community.
