[ARCHIVED] "Let's Play Cafe" Burglary

MONROE – February 15, 2016: At 10:22 am, Monroe police officers responded to a reported burglary at the “Let’s Play Café” in the 200 block of N. Lewis Street in Monroe. The café owners explained to the officer that they had arrived Monday morning to find the cash register on the floor with the till still open. It appeared that the suspects jammed a car key into the lock to break it open and all of the cash had been taken. Also taken were some high value “Magic” cards, promotional items and several boxes of cards valued at approximately $1,500.

The café owners believe the suspects may have hid near closing time and waited for everyone to leave. There were no signs of forced entry.

Anyone with information regarding this burglary is asked to contact the Monroe Police Department at 360-794-6300. Anonymous information may be left on the Department’s tip line at 360-863-4600.
